 BackgroundLike the PC-Henshin, Turbo PC-Henshin is a modless region converter. However, Turbo PC-Henshin is a universal region converter because it works on both TurboGrafx-16 and PC-Engine. The motivation to produce such a modless region converter comes from the fact that many avid gamers, unskilled in electronics, may sometimes resort to "less than qualified" modders and/or forego the import games market altogether. Turbo PC-Henshin opens up all regions for TurboGrafx-16 and PC-Engine owners. Do I need PC-Henshin or Turbo PC-Henshin?
Form FactorThe PC-Henshin fits snugly into a standard NTSC or PAL TurboGrafx-16 console. In order to achieve the same thickness as HuCards, the PC-Henshin's thickness is increased to 0.093" by affixing a 0.030" plastic sheet on the under side (because standard PCBs are thinner than HuCards, being only 0.063".) The HuCard itself connects seamlessly on the input side of the PC-Henshin. Simply insert a HuCard until you hear a "click" sound - indicating proper contact has been made.

 The Turbo PC-Henshin is an active converter for TurboGrafx-16 and PC-Engine. It region mods PC-Engines externally and allows TurboGrafx-16 games to be played on PC-Engine. It also works in the reverse configuration as a traditional converter to allow PC-Engine games to be played on TurboGrafx-16. The converter essentially patches each game in real-time - there is absolutely no damage that can result in using the Turbo PC-Henshin.
