Redesigned TG16 Converter is Functional - Extra Features To Be Tested Soon!

I spent the better part of the weekend building a bunch of new designs, one of which was a redesign of the TG16 Converter.

Major changes to this converter include a different form factor; now the HuCard connector is found beneath the main PCB. Also, the diving board part is now much shorter since I don't need to route all the HuCard signals to a carrier board (as was with the first design).

I've also taken the region switch out. I figure if you're going to switch to a US game you might as well remove the converter as it's no longer necessary.

This new design, while it can operate 100% passively, includes a small Altera EPM3032 CPLD for an extra surprise. Ishiyakazuo from Harpstone Electronics and myself are jointly working on a new feature which will hopefully work (cross your fingers). In the meantime, I will start selling passive boards.

Below is a picture of a passive converter in action, playing PC Genjin on a North American TurboGrafx-16 console.
