One of the biggest drawbacks of the original db PCE to TG16 Converter was that it was not compatible with Super System Card 3.0. This is because the Super System Card has onboard RAM which requires a bidirectional databus on the converter - sadly the original converter did not allow this (as I was kind of a TG16 noob at the time).
A PCEngineFX user has recently confirmed that the latest PC-Henshin hardware, which allows bidirectional databus communication, works flawlessly with a PCE Super System Card 3.0 on TurboGrafx-16! Hearing these news, we quickly realized that the original TG16 Converter can be modded to allow bidirectional communications. We whipped up a quick proof of concept to show that this is possible.
If you're interested in modding your original TG16 Converter to allow use of a Super System Card 3.0 we'll gladly provide instructions on what to do.
