The dbGrafx Booster is open for pre-orders in limitied quantities for $65. The lead-time for this pre-order should be somewhere between 3-4 weeks to shipping. After the pre-order is closed more units will be available in approximately 1 - 2 months. Also note that only the NTSC version (i.e. 60Hz) is currently available.

The Mark III variant of the FM Power Base Mini is now ready for sale. Check out the Store to purchase one!

The Mark III FM Power Base Mini packs a 2-1 punch by allowing you to play Mark III games on Genesis / Megadrive AND witness the glory of FM soundtracks. US versions of games such as Phantasy Star or Wonderboy in Monsterland did not include the FM soundtrack in their releases and can only be heard on either a ROM hack or the original Mark III release.


Power Base Mini FM Gets an Awesome Review

A very friendly fan of db Electronics has written a very good review of the Power Base Mini FM over at Stageselect.com. It's very flattering to see complete strangers compliment my work in such a way. The internet sometimes has a reputation for trolling and for being negative - and while I do get my share of negative comments and emails I must say that the positives always outweigh them!

dbGrafx Booster Rev B ready for production

Well it's finally ready, the dbGrafx Booster Rev B is ready production. When time is on my side, I will begin assembling units and placing them for sale in the Products section of the website. Price is yet to be determined.

The revision B of db Grafx Booster is superior to revision in that it has:

  • RGB output via Genesis 2 A/V cable
  • Stereo audio via Genesis 2 A/V cable
  • Composite via Genesis 2 A/V cable
  • S-Video via standard DIN4 connector
  • Composite + stereo audio on RCA jacks (yellow, white, red)

MD Flash - New Method of Releasing Physical Genesis Games

I've recently developed modern Genesis cartridge hardware with the intent of releasing games on this hardware. Interested developers stay tuned as I will offer methods for others to use my cartridge hardware as well. Printrbot Simple Metal With Heated Bed On Its Way!

Well I've finally done it, I bought myself a 3D printer! I've been eye'ing a few printers for quite some time now and with the recent flury of orders for FM Power Base and Turbo PC-Henshin I thought it would be a good investment for db Electronics. 

The printer I've purchased is a Printrbot Simple Metal with Heated Bed which seemed to be a good balance between print size and cost. I've been meaning to produce mechanical enclosures for my products forever and this will provide a good prototyping method before I spend tons of cash on moulds!

Stay tuned for updates on the printer, I think I'll dedicate an entire section of the website to assembling and operating the printer!

This marks the GRAND RELEASE of the Turbo PC Henshin which had sadly been delayed due to my non-functional PC-Engine. Turbo PC Henshin and Power Base Mini can now be purchased directly on the Products page.

This marks the GRAND OPENING of the db Electronics webstore! The Power Base FM is now available to purchase directly on the Products page as well as the FM Power Base product-specific page. Comments and suggestions are welcome in order to improve the purchasing experience.

Products are still available to purchase on eBay as well, and online retrogaming stores such as Stone Age Gamer and Retrotowers.co.uk will continue to carry db Electronics product.

My other products will soon be added to the db Electronics webstore (as soon as I can build more!)


db Electronics Online Store Front to Open Very Soon

For almost 2 years now I've been selling my products on eBay. While eBay provides excellent visibility I do want to expand and sell products on my site as well. Very soon, people without eBay accounts will also be able to purchase db Electronics products. I'm not going off of eBay, products will be available both here and on eBay.

In the coming days Paypal "Buy Now" will be appearing everywhere but they won't be activated just yet. I'll make another news announcement when they are available.
